Volunteer Screening Questions                                    Preguntas

The school could not offer the quality of education, service, and sense of community that it does without parental involvement as volunteers, committee members, and supporters.  All jobs are important, and the students are delighted to know that their parents are working for the school.

Keeping the best interests of the students in mind, and to provide a safe and secure environment for our youth is a priority of the Diocese of Dallas and of St. Mary of Carmel Catholic School.  To help ensure a safe environment at St. Mary of Carmel Catholic School, all volunteers must complete the following the Safe Environment workshop.

Volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas: cafeteria, library, field trip chaperones, athletics, field day, fundraising, special events, and other areas listed in the "Educational Support Program (ESP)."  Volunteers are also needed as room parents, field day helpers, School Advisory Council and its committee's members, and Home and School event helpers.

Opportunities:

Family Pot Luck Bingo Nights
Cici's Pizza*
Chuck E. Cheese Fun Night*

*You will receive ESP hours for all work logged in at these events.

Please see the flier that went home about these events.

All volunteers should go through the screening process before any activity.

Parents should update their hours in the “Parent Volunteer Binder” by the school office and must be verified by activity coordinator.

Volunteer hours will be added once a month and a letter will be sent with their student. It will be announced in the weekly communication letter.
